Godot Game Developer (Internship)

Want to gain hands-on experience in game development and take real ownership? We're looking for a motivated Godot Game Developer Intern to support the development of a unique simulation game. You'll work closely with our small, creative team and bring your ideas directly into the game.

What you'll do:

  • Developing and maintaining game systems and features in Godot
  • Implementing new gameplay mechanics, UI elements, and quality-of-life features
  • Collaborating closely with your team to bring ideas from concept to implementation
  • Troubleshooting bugs, fixing technical issues, and improving overall game stability
  • Helping refine game feel, balancing values, and polishing existing content

What helps you stand out:

  • A portfolio with small but finished projects
  • A good understanding of Godot or Unity
  • Experience working with Git or other version-control systems.
  • Contributions to team projects, game jams, or collaborative repos.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a small team

You don’t need to tick every box - just apply if you’re excited about the role. Women especially tend to apply less when they feel underqualified. We’d love to hear from you anyway!

What we offer:

  • Remote-first setup & flexible working hours
  • Ownership and trust, no micromanagement
  • A creative and supportive team
  • Player-first development with lots of room for ideas

About Us

We’re a small indie studio based in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. What started as an idea has since grown into a fast-moving company with big ambitions. Everyone on the team has a voice, and everyone helps shape the direction of our games.

We work fully remote, but we stay closely connected. We value self-responsibility, clear communication, and a proactive mindset. The kind of environment where people who take ownership naturally thrive.

If you’re someone who enjoys making real impact rather than just executing tasks, you’ll feel right at home. We move quickly, we iterate constantly, and we expect each other to bring our best. At the same time, we never lose sight of why we started: because we love creating games that matter to players. If that excites you, we’d be thrilled to get to know you.

Any Questions Left?

Everything you need to know about our recruitment process.
I don't meet all the criteria. Can I still apply?
Yes, if you’re genuinely driven we would love to hear from you. If you’re passionate about our games and believe you can contribute meaningfully, we encourage you to apply and let’s see if it’s a fit.
Why are you asking about my main residence?
Most of our team is based in Baden-Württemberg, and part of our funding is tied to that region. For that reason, we prioritize local applicants, though exceptional cases can be considered.
Are you working fully remote?
Yes. We work remotely, but very collaboratively. You’ll stay closely connected with the team, and we’ll introduce you to our workflows, tools, and standards so you can hit the ground running.
How does my typical work day look like?
We expect strong ownership, focus, and reliability. You structure your day in the way you’re most productive. Deep work early, creative work later, or the other way around. Flexibility is fine, as long as you consistently show up for meetings, contribute to team goals, and deliver work that moves our games forward. If you thrive on responsibility and love building great games, you’ll fit right in!
